Samsung has unveiled the availability details of its budget-friendly Galaxy A series tablets: Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+. These tablets, already introduced in select markets earlier, will now be accessible to a wider audience worldwide.
Intended for consumers who prefer a cost-effective alternative to the premium Galaxy Tab S9 FE and its counterparts, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 specifications are slightly modest. It offers an 8.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1340x800 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. This is accompanied by a dual-speaker setup.
Internally, the tablet is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. Storage and RAM configurations available include 4GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB variants, along with a microSD slot for expandability. It houses an 8MP primary camera, a 2MP front-facing shooter, and a 5,100 mAh battery. Connectivity options encompass Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and LTE.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ specifications showcase an 11-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. Under its shell, it operates on a Snapdragon 695 chipset. It mirrors the RAM and storage options of the Tab A9.
The tablet features a quad-speaker system, 8MP and 5MP cameras for the rear and front respectively, a robust 7,040 mAh battery supporting 15W charging, and additionally offers 5G connectivity.
Both tablets, Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+, come pre-installed with Android 13 and are overlaid with Samsung's One UI 5.1.1. The Plus variant stands out with support for Samsung DeX and advanced multitasking capabilities.
Though official update schedules aren't disclosed, it's anticipated that both devices will receive major OS updates for the next two years, including the expected Android 14 and One UI 6.0.
The duo, Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+, can be chosen in graphite, silver, or navy blue and are available in both Wi-Fi and LTE/5G models.

As of recent Amazon listings, the Galaxy Tab A9 is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the Wi-Fi 4GB RAM + 64GB model, with its 5G variant at Rs. 15,999. The Galaxy Tab A9+ starts at Rs. 20,999 for its 8GB RAM + 128GB storage Wi-Fi model.
