OnePlus has officially announced that it will be launching its latest operating system, OxygenOS 14, on September 25, 2023.
Built on the foundation of Android 14, OxygenOS 14 is set to offer a range of new features aimed at enhancing the user experience.
This news makes OnePlus one of the first smartphone manufacturers to release an operating system based on Android 14.
OnePlus will introduce its proprietary performance platform, the Trinity Engine, in OxygenOS 14. This engine aims to achieve a better synergy between hardware and software, maximising the capabilities of OnePlus handsets.
The Trinity Engine targets industry challenges related to power consumption efficiency, multi-tasking capability, and overall smooth user experience.
It comprises of six innovative technologies, including CPU Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, ROM Vitalization, HyperBoost, HyperTouch, and HyperRendering.
By combining these technologies, OnePlus claims that users will enjoy a versatile, fast, and smooth experience across various scenarios, including multi-tasking, intensive mobile gaming, and long-term usage.
OnePlus will provide further details about OxygenOS 14 and its features on September 25.
It is expected that the company will also announce the release schedule of OxygenOS 14 for its smartphones by the end of this month.
OnePlus initiated the Android 14 beta testing for the OnePlus 11 smartphone in May, followed by a second beta update in June.
The company has recently started recruiting closed beta testers for OxygenOS 14 on the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, and the OnePlus Nord 3. Closed beta testing for OxygenOS 14 on the OnePlus 10 will also be available soon.
The stable OxygenOS 14 update for the OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, and the OnePlus Nord 3 is expected to start rolling out on September 25.
Additionally, other prominent smartphone brands such as Google and Samsung are also expected to release stable Android 14 updates for their devices in the near future.
