Tipster Ice Universe has leaked pictures of upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 dummy units, which suggest that the design of the device will be similar to its predecessor, the Z Fold 4.

The only notable difference is the LED flash beside the rear camera. The Z Fold 5 is rumoured to have a new water drop hinge, although the device seems to have a crease on the main screen like other devices in the Fold series.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 specifications (rumoured)

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is a new foldable phone from Samsung that is set to release in late July 2023.

The phone features a gapless new hinge design and droplet-shaped folding display, which eliminates the need for a crease. This makes the Z Fold 5 the most visually appealing foldable phone yet.

The Z Fold 5 also has two 120Hz-capable displays. The external display is 6.2 inches, while the internal display is 7.6 inches. Both displays are AMOLED panels with high resolutions and sharp images.

The Z Fold 5 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset, which is one of the most powerful mobile processors on the market. The phone also has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

In terms of cameras, the Z Fold 5 has a triple camera system on the back. The main camera is a 50MP ISOCELL GN3 sensor, which is one of the best smartphone cameras on the market. The phone also has a 12MP ultrawide camera and a 12MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The Z Fold 5 also has a number of other features, including IPX8 waterproofing, a built-in fingerprint sensor, and support for 5G connectivity. The phone is expected to start at around $1,800.
