During its highly anticipated WWDC 2025 keynote, Apple unveiled iOS 26, the latest major update for iPhones. This update introduces significant changes, including a fresh system-wide design, enhanced Apple Intelligence integration, and numerous app upgrades. Aiming to make the iPhone experience faster, more personalized, and more secure, iOS 26 promises to deliver a new visual look and smarter features.

Developer Beta Availability
The developer beta for iOS 26 became available on June 9, 2025. Registered Apple Developers can now access the beta version on compatible iPhones. To install the beta, developers should go to the Settings app, navigate to General > Software Update > Beta Updates, and select the iOS 26 Developer Beta—provided their Apple ID is linked to a developer account. Apple cautions that early beta versions may contain bugs and could impact daily usage.

Public Beta Timeline
Apple has announced that the public beta of iOS 26 will be released in July 2025. Eager iPhone users looking to experience the new features early can do so by enrolling in Apple’s Beta Software Program. The official, stable release of iOS 26 is anticipated to roll out globally in the fall, likely around September, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone 16 series.

iOS 26 Release in India
The global rollout of iOS 26, including in India, is scheduled for later this year. Although the exact release date has not been confirmed, it typically follows shortly after the new iPhone launch, expected around September. As with previous releases, Indian iPhone users can expect timely access to the update soon after the global announcement.
