Apple will allegedly not introduce any further Macs before the end of the year.

Analyst Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports that the company had expected to launch new M2 versions of its 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros as early as this fall 2022, but Apple now plans to release them in the first quarter of 2023. Gurman also claims that the release will likely coincide with macOS Ventura 13.3.

He further adds that since Apple has rarely introduced new tech around January or February, he anticipates that the new Macs will be presented in the first half of March.

As supporting evidence, Gurman cites Apple's most recent earnings call. Tim Cook told analysts earlier this week that the company's holiday product lineup was all set.

Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri provided even more evidence, stating that he anticipated Mac revenue to "drop significantly" in December, in part because there are no new MacBook Pros to increase sales.

When they eventually arrive, the new MacBook Pros will have the same design as the current versions from 2021. Apple's new M2 Pro and M2 Max chipsets will be the most significant new addition. The M2 Max, according to Gurman, will contain up to 12 CPU cores and 38 GPU cores.
