India's largest telecom operator, Jio, is preparing to launch the second generation of its Android-powered laptop, JioBook.

The initial glimpse of this eagerly anticipated device was revealed through an Amazon microsite, showcasing some details and hinting at what's to come.

While the JioBook (2023) may not sport any noticeable design changes, it is expected to bring significant internal upgrades that will enhance user experience.

According to the Amazon microsite, one of the prominent physical differences between the 2022 model and the upcoming JioBook 4G laptop is its weight. The JioBook (2023) is listed to weigh a mere 990g, making it significantly lighter than the previous model's 1.2kg.

Running on Android, the JioBook (2023) will feature JioOS. The laptop will retain the 4G connectivity capability of its predecessor, ensuring users stay connected no matter where they are.

Battery life is a crucial feature for any laptop, and JioBook promises to deliver impressive longevity. Jio claims that the second-generation JioBook will offer all-day battery life, minimising the need for frequent charging.

The pricing details of the upcoming JioBook are yet to be officially disclosed. However, industry insiders suggest that it will be competitively priced under ₹20,000, making it an affordable option for a wide range of consumers.

The outgoing JioBook, which was introduced in India last year, was equipped with a Snapdragon 665 SoC along with an Adreno 610 GPU. It featured 2GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC storage. The device boasted an 11.6-inch HD display.
