Foxconn, the world's largest contract electronics manufacturer and assembler of Apple iPhones, has bought a 13 million-square-foot plot of land near Bengaluru, as it seeks to diversify production away from China.

Foxconn has reportedly paid $37 million for the site. The Taiwanese company has manufactured Apple smartphones in India since 2019 at its plant in Tamil Nadu.
