Meta has released a new feature for Instagram that allows users to temporarily silence app notifications during their break time.
Called Quiet Mode, this new feature will change a profile’s status to ‘In quiet mode’ and also send an auto-reply to followers when someone sends a DM.
Users can easily customise their Quiet mode hours to fit their schedule.
The feature has been introduced with the aim of letting users manage their time and limit their social media activity.
Instagram says that while anyone can use Quiet mode, they’ll prompt teens to do so when they spend a specific amount of time on Instagram late at night.
