Haier has launched the M3 Series washing machine in India, positioning it as a premium laundry appliance for households that routinely separate baby clothes, delicates, sportswear and everyday garments.
The big difference is visible immediately. Instead of using one large drum, the Haier M3 has three independently operating drums: a 10kg main drum and two 1kg drums. That means three loads can run at the same time, without mixing clothes that need different levels of care. The machine is priced at ₹1,30,000 and is now available through Haier’s website and retail outlets across India.
The M3 Series has been designed to occupy roughly the footprint of a conventional washing machine while adding two smaller washing zones above the main drum. Haier says these are suited to smaller loads such as innerwear, baby clothes, delicate fabrics and workout gear, while the 10kg drum handles the family’s usual laundry.
The company says this setup can cut down the number of separate wash cycles a household has to run. More importantly, it gives users a practical way to keep sensitive or hygiene-sensitive clothing apart from the rest of the wash.
“More than a product innovation, the M3 Series exemplifies our pursuit of purposeful innovation, bringing together three independent washing drums, AI-powered washing intelligence and greater convenience for modern households,” said NS Satish, CEO, Haier Appliances India.
Haier has equipped the M3 with AI Wash, which recommends a programme according to the load. Its Smart Dose system can automatically dispense detergent and softener, while the AI Smart Control feature lets users manage and customise cycles through the companion mobile app.
The machine’s Essence Wash feature pre-mixes detergent before applying it to fabrics. Haier says this helps it complete a full load in 39 minutes, with fresh-water and centrifugal rinsing used to reduce foam residue. There is also a Quick Clean cycle, which Haier claims can complete a wash in 46 minutes, compared with one hour and 29 minutes for a standard cycle.
The M3 also gets three Direct Motion Motors, Dynamic Balance technology and AI vibration control. These features are meant to keep vibrations and noise in check, particularly when all three drums are being used together.
The Haier M3 Series is available in a 12kg configuration, split into 1kg, 1kg and 10kg capacities. It carries a four-year comprehensive warranty and a 12-year warranty on the motor.
At ₹1.3 lakh, it is clearly aimed at the high-end appliance buyer. But its pitch is fairly straightforward: if separate laundry loads are a regular part of life at home, the M3 could remove a lot of waiting around from wash day.
