Google is starting a program in Germany to build resilience against internet misinformation.

Prebunking, which entails the publication of short movies highlighting the strategies used to promote false claims, is part of this strategy.

Prebunking is the process of teaching people to recognise and spot misleading statements before they see them.

Misinformation on the internet has a wide impact and is a difficult problem with no easy answers. Prebunking videos are an excellent strategy to counter this because they are simple to create, reach millions of people, and focus on the techniques used to propagate false information.

According to reports, Google's prebunking plan for India is also in the works.
