Sony WF-1000 XM4 Review: solid upgrades, great noise cancellation

Sony WF-1000XM4 active noise cancelling true wireless earbuds have launched in India, and offer some notable upgrades over the previous version. Sony WF-1000XM4 feature an integrated V1 processor and Noise Isolation Earbud Tips that offer a more secure fit. Sony WF-1000XM4 specifications include a 6mm driver unit with a 20 percent increase in magnet volume for improved noise cancelling capabilities. Another notable addition is the inclusion of IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance, which means exercising in these buds won't be a problem.

Sony WF-1000XM4 highlights also include Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, LDAC audio codec support, and DSEE Extreme that upscales compressed audio files more accurately. Sony claims that the buds promise eight hours of playback with noise cancelling turned on and up to 12 hours without it. The case fully charges the earbuds twice for a total of at least 24 hours of listening.
