A new study has found that 51 percent of commonly used passwords can be breached by artificial intelligence in under a minute.
The study analysed 15.68 million passwords using an AI password cracker, revealing that 81 percent can be breached within a month. However, passwords of 18 or more characters long were found to be generally safe.
The report advises choosing passwords that are at least 15 characters long and a mix of characters, symbols, numbers, and upper and lower-case letters.
It suggests against using easy-to-remember passwords, changing them every three to six months, and not using the same password for all accounts.
