To pay tribute to football icon Diego Maradona who passed away in November, a Ramanathapuram-based bakery has created a 6-foot-tall cake statue of the Argentinean football legend and has displayed it for the public.
The cake took 4 days to make and has been created with 270 eggs and 60 kgs of sugar. The statue, according to the bakery employees, hopes to encourage the youth to participate in sports activities.
In the past too, the bakery has created cakes of different icons like APJ Abdul Kalam.
