Director Richard Donner who was best known for directing classics such as 'Superman', 'The Goonies' and 'Lethal Weapon' among others has passed away.
His producer-wife Lauren Schuler Donner confirmed the news of the 91-year-old filmmaker's death. She however did not reveal the cause of his death.
Donner's early work included directing episodes of television shows such as 'The Rifleman', 'The Twilight Zone', 'The Man from U.N.C.L.E.', 'Gilligan’s Island', and 'Perry Mason'.
