WPL 2023: Harmanpreet Kaur named Mumbai Indians captain

As expected, India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Mumbai Indians in Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023, the franchise announced on Wednesday.

India's star batter Kaur, who had a base price of ₹50 lakh in the WPL 2023 auction, was picked by MI for ₹1.80 crore.

Mumbai Indians will open the first-ever WPL on March 4 as they take on Gujarat Giants at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
