It took Gujarat Giants 3 games to get off the mark but they finally claimed their first win of WPL 2023 as they beat RCB by 11 runs on Wednesday night.
Gujarat's decision to bat first proved right as a fiery fifty each by Sophia Dunkley & Harleen Deol powered them to 201/7.
In reply, Bangalore lost skipper Smriti Mandhana for 18 but Sophie Devine kept her side in the run chase with a gritty 66.
However, a 30-run cameo off just 11 balls by Heather Knight too couldn't take RCB over the finish line as they have now lost all 3 games so far.
They are now languishing at the bottom of the table while Gujarat leapfrogged RCB to the 4th spot with 1 win out of 3 games.
