Smriti Mandhana became the first-ever player to be sold at the Women's Premier League 2023 (WPL) auction as she was bought by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹3.40 crore.
On the other hand, her Indian team compatriot Harmanpreet Kaur was sold to the Mumbai Indians for ₹1.80 crore.
Both Smriti and Harmanpreet had a base price of ₹50 lakh each.
