Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey has been vocal about his disappointment over the Indian team's early exit from the Hockey World Cup 2023.

He once again expressed his concern over the hockey team and said that he will ask the coaches and senior players why the hunger to win was missing.

In an interaction with the Times of India, Tirkey said that when the team know that goal difference was very important in the league stage, they should have gone for it but he couldn't see that.

'We missed so many chances to win the crossover game as well. So, that's what I mean by the hunger missing,' he added.
