PV Sindhu's return to action after a long injury lay-off didn't go down as expected as she bowed out of the Malaysia Open in round 1.
The double Olympic medallist went down 12-21, 21-10, 15-21 to Rio Olympics champion Carolina Marin in under an hour.
Sixth seed Sindhu was playing her first match since she sustained a stress fracture on her left ankle en route to her Commonwealth Games gold in August.
