After Indian Wells, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic is also set to miss the Miami Open due to his Covid-19 vaccination status, confirmed tournament director James Blake.

Blake informed that they tried to speak with the government officials about the exemption of the 22-time Grand Slam winner from the vaccination rule, but that did not happen.

The United States has barred unvaccinated foreigners from entering the country, a policy expected to be lifted when the government's Covid-19 emergency declaration ends in May.

Miami Open is set to begin on 19th March.
