Olympic bronze medallist Boxer Lovlina Borgohain appointed as DSP by Assam Police

Boxer Lovlina Borgohain, who made India proud by winning a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games, is all set to pack a punch once again but this time in the police uniform.

Lovlina was enlisted as a trainee deputy superintendent in the Assam Police with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma attending the ceremony. Besides her monthly salary, Lovlina will be given additional Rs 1 lakh per month for her training expenses.

An elated Lovlina thanked the police department but wrote that her main focus will be to work hard in sports and bring a gold medal for India in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
