Veteran Indian shooter & 2-time Olympian Mairaj Khan scripted history at the ISSF World Cup on Monday after he became the first Indian to win gold in the men's skeet final in South Korea's Changwon.

In the 40-shot rain-delayed final, the Aligarh-based shooter shot 37 to finish ahead of Korea's Min Su Kim (36) and Britain's Ben Llewellin (26).

He secured the final berth after a five-way shoot-off. The 46-year-old was tied at the 8th position with 4 other shooters after the previous qualifying events where he shot 119/125.

Khan, who was the oldest member of the Indian contingent, had won a silver medal at the 2016 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro.
