The Sunrisers Hyderabad needed to win 1 of their last 2 games in order to seal an IPL 2024 playoffs berth and despite their penultimate game being washed out on Thursday, SRH still became the 3rd team to qualify with 15 points.

Gujarat Titans, who were already knocked out, were looking to finish their campaign on a high but bowed out with 12 points following two consecutive washouts.

Constant rain never stopped and the covers didn't come off for inspection. The match was abandoned without even the toss happening.

It was the 2nd IPL game being washed out in last 4 days after GT vs KKR match also went down the drain on Monday.

Interestingly SRH last made it to IPL playoffs way back in 2020. They still have a chance of finishing in the 2nd spot if they win their final game and Rajasthan Royals lose their last match against KKR.
