The Royal Challengers Bengaluru avoided a scare on Saturday as they beat the Gujarat Titans by 4 wickets and kept their IPL 2024 campaign alive.

Put into bat, the Titans were bowled out for a mere 147 in 19.3 overs. Shahrukh Khan was the top-scorer with 37, while Mohammed Siraj, Yash Dayal and Vijaykumar Vyshak picked up 2 wickets each.

The run-chase seemed to be a cakewalk when RCB raced to 92 within the powerplay overs as Faf du Plessis lit up M Chinnaswamy with a 23-ball-64. Virat Kohli too smashed a fiery 42.

However, the hosts then had a batting collapse and lost 6 wickets for the next 25 runs and found themselves at 117/6.

Despite a scare, Dinesh Karthik and Swapnil Singh helped RCB cross the finish line with 38 balls to spare.

While Bengaluru are still alive in the competition on back of a hat-trick of wins, Gujarat Titans suffered their 4th loss in the last 5 matches.
