The Gujarat Titans had an outside chance of making it to IPL 2024 playoffs but that flickering flame also vanished on Monday as their home game against the Kolkata Knight Riders was washed away without a ball being bowled.

Both teams shared a point each. KKR moved to 19 points and extended their lead at the top of the points table to 3 points when compared to 2nd placed Rajasthan Royals.

On the other hand, GT have 11 points from 13 outings and can at max reach 13 points if they win their last league game. Sadly, that won't be enough for them to even have any hope of finishing in the top 4.

Gujarat had to win both of their remaining fixtures but constant rain in Ahmedabad didn't even let the toss happen.

KKR will now certainly finish in the top 2 and will get two shots at making it to IPL 2024 final. Interestingly, The last two times they finished in the top two, they won the IPL as well.
