Mumbai Indians became the first team in Indian Premier League history to lose their first seven matches in a season. They are currently at the bottom of the IPL 2022 points table. While Chennai remained at the ninth spot on IPL 2022 team rankings after defeating their arch-rivals Mumbai by 3 wickets on Thursday (April 21). Chennai have two wins in seven games and they are the only team in IPL 2022 which have only 4 points. Delhi Capitals (DC), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) have six points each and the teams are separated by net run rate.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans continue to top the IPL 2022 team rankings with 5 wins in six matches. Royal Challengers Bangalore are at the second spot with 5 wins in seven games. Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants are at the third and fourth spot respectively after winning 4 games each. The IPL 2022 points table will witness a major rejig after DC vs RR match on Friday given Delhi jumped to the sixth spot after a big win over Punjab while Rajasthan is at the third spot.

Moreover, Rajasthan Royals' Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal remain the Orange and purple cap holders respectively with 375 runs and 17 wickets.
