Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have moved to the top half of the IPL 2022 points table after winning their respective matches on Saturday (April 16). In the afternoon match on April 16, Lucknow registered their 4th win and jumped to 2nd position on IPL 2022 team rankings with eight points. While Bangalore outclassed Delhi Capitals (DC) in the second match of the day and moved to 3rd spot on IPL 2022 leaderboard with 8 points. All the top-three teams have 8 points but they are separated by net run rate.

Meanwhile, for the first time in IPL history, Mumbai Indians failed to open their account after six games and their chances for IPL playoff qualification look bleak now. Delhi lost their third match today and slipped to 8th position on IPL 2022 team rankings with four points.

Gujarat Titans continue to lead the IPL 2022 points table with a superior net run rate and 4 wins in 5 matches.

Moreover, Rajasthan's Jos Buttler continued to top the list of highest run-getters in IPL 2022 after a flamboyant 54-run knock against Gujarat Titans. KL Rahul is second on the list after hitting a swashbuckling hundred on April 16 against Mumbai Indians. Buttler is currently holding the orange cap with 272 runs in 5 games. Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal continued to top the list of highest wicket-takers in the ongoing cash-rich league with 12 wickets in 5 matches. Chahal is currently holding the purple cap.
