Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul registered their name in the history books of IPL after the duo put up the highest opening stand, 210, for Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2022. The Lucknow openers made history while playing against Kolkata Knight Riders on Wednesday.


This was also the first time in IPL history that a team has batted the entire 20 overs without losing a wicket.

Overall, the 210-run stand between Rahul and de Kock is the third-highest partnership in the Indian Premier League for any wicket.


During the highest-ever stand for opening wicket, Quinton de Kock slammed his second IPL century and remained unbeaten on 140, which is the third-highest individual score in IPL. Meanwhile, Rahul remained unbeaten on 68 runs off 51 balls.
