While this was the 2nd win for KKR, Mumbai lost the third straight match in IPL 2022. Few users on Instagram seemed frustrated as they posted offensive and abusive comments on Sams’ post.

In a tweet, Daniel Sams wrote, "With Respect, Win or Lose is the part of the game I Accept that last night my performance was not good, I'm the responsible for the defeat. But criticisms on my personal life is not good, lots of Indian people sending me abusing messages on twitter & Instagram, Please Stop this."

Australian left-arm pacer Daniel Sams bowled three overs and conceded 50 runs for one wicket. Sams now holds the record to bowl the third most expensive over in IPL.
