Shreyas Iyer, who wasn't retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL mega auction, is likely to be involved in a huge bidding war when he goes under the hammer.

According to a report in the Times of India, the Royal Challengers Bangalore are eyeing the former DC skipper as its next captain. A source close to the development told TOI that after Virat Kohli's decision to step down as RCB skipper, expect the franchise to bid heavily for Shreyas Iyer. 'The Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings are also expected to eye him in the auction,' the source added.
