The English star bowler Jofra Archer had earlier said that he will miss this year's Indian Premier League to focus on his rehabilitation but since the 26-year-old prolific bowler is back in the nets, slowly resuming his practice, the speculations of him returning to the lucrative league this year are rife.

Archer who is recovering from his elbow injury, however, took part in the IPL mega auctions and was surprisingly bought by the 5-time IPL winners Mumbai Indians for a whopping 8 crore.

But sticking to his stance, the ex-Rajasthan Royals player reiterated that he would miss this year's IPL. He said although he has progressed a bit faster, he will still make his comeback in next year's cash-rich league.

I don't want to disappoint anyone, so I am going to say next year, said Archer.

Mumbai Indians begin their IPL campaign on 27th March against Delhi Capitals in Mumbai.
