Mehidy Hasan's all-round show helped Bangladesh to keep their impeccable record at home as they defeated India by 5 runs in the second ODI in Mirpur. With the win, the hosts took an unassailable 2-0 lead in 3-match series. Now they haven't lost a home ODI series since October 2016.
Chasing a 272-run target, India were off to the worst possible start with opener Virat Kohli going back to the pavilion for just five runs.
After that, India kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 65-4 in the 19th over.

Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel, then, took the Men In Blue out of the precarious situation with a 107-run stand. Iyer went back to the hut after hitting 82 runs. He was closely followed by Axar, who scored run-a-ball 56.
Rohit tried his best at the end, walking out half-fit and launching into an array of shots, but he fell one big shot away from taking India across the line. India managed 266-9 in 50 overs.
Earlier, Washington Sundar and Mohammed Siraj reduced the hosts to 69-6 in the 19th over. Then, the previous match hero Mehidy Hasan along with Mahmudullah stitched a 148-run stand for the 7th wicket to bring Bangladesh's innings back on track.
Mahmudullah went back to the pavilion in the 47th over but Mehidy continued from the other end and went on to score his maiden ODI hundred. Thus powering the host to a competitive 271-7 in 50 overs.
