Indian captain Rohit Sharma put India in pole position with a stunning half-century on day 1 of the Nagpur Test.
Having bowled Australia out on a seemingly difficult pitch for 177, India were expected to adopt a cautious approach at the start of their innings.
But Rohit came out all guns blazing! The Indian skipper stunned the visitors, finishing the day with an unbeaten 56 - a knock laced with 9 boundaries and a six. He didn't let the Aussie bowlers settle into their spell, especially Pat Cummins, who bore the brunt of Rohit's aggression.
While KL Rahul fell for 20 off 71 in the penultimate over before stumps, Rohit's knock took the home side to 77/1, and they now trail the Aussies by just 100 runs.
