In a major blow to New Zealand, pacer Matt Henry was ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup following a hamstring injury.

Kyle Jamieson was named as his official replacement by the Blackcaps. The 28-year-old join the squad in Bengaluru for their clash versus Pakistan on November 4.

Henry suffered an injury during the 2019 finalists' last fixture against South Africa and his exit comes on the back of numerous setbacks already being faced by New Zealand.

Skipper Kane Williamson is out with a thumb fracture, Lockie Ferguson (Achilles), James Neesham (wrist) and Mark Chapman (calf) are injured as well.
