Turkey Earthquake: Ghana footballer Christian Atsu rescued from rubble - Reports

Ghana's international footballer Christian Atsu who had been reported missing was as per the local reports among those who were trapped under the rubble following the subsequent earthquakes that hit Turkey on Monday.

The former Newcastle and Chelsea player who currently plays for Turkish club Hatayspor was as per reports in a building that was destroyed in the earthquake, Mustafa Ozat, Hatayspor's spokesperson had informed local media.

However, as per a Guardian report the 31-year-old and the members of the club's technical team have been pulled out of the rubble and have been taken to a hospital. As per the report, the footballer is said to have injured his right foot and is facing difficulty in breathing. The club hasn't provided any official confirmation yet.
