Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola believes Manchester United are becoming a force yet again under new manager Erik ten Hag.

The City manager, whose side beat United 6-3 earlier in the season, has said that United are finally ready to challenge at the top of the Premier League again.

“Finally, United is coming. I saw yesterday (against FC Sheriff) and Chelsea in the first half. I thought I like what I see from United just now,” Guardiola said.

Manchester United have already defeated Liverpool, league leaders Arsenal and Tottenham this term. Their 1-1 draw against Chelsea means they have taken 10 points off their rivals for Champions League qualification.

Guardiola also heaped praise on Newcastle United, who are currently 4th in the standings. Calling them a ‘contender’, Guardiola said Eddie Howe’s men play brave football.
