Maybe it's his age. Maybe it's his stellar form for Paris Saint-Germain. Maybe it's that drought-ending Copa America title last year.

There is something different about Lionel Messi at Qatar World Cup 2022.

He is relaxed and happy as if the pressure of the World Cup has been lifted off his shoulders.

While addressing the media ahead of Argentina's opening clash against Saudi Arabia, the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner said that this is his last chance of achieving his great dream of the FIFA World Cup.

The Argentina captain also said that the current squad reminds him of the 2014 World Cup that reached the final in Brazil. Qatar World Cup 2022 is Lionel Messi's fifth World Cup appearance, the most by any Argentine player.

Argentina are placed in Group C along with Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
