India’s Nikhat Zareen won India the 3rd gold in boxing with yet another superb performance in the final of her 50 kg category.

The World Champion was echelons above her competition in the initial rounds and even in the final, her opponent from Northern Ireland didn’t stand a chance.

Nikhat swept all the three rounds against Carly McNaul, comfortably winning the gold medal match 5-0 on the judges’ score.

It was the first time Nikhat was competing at the Commonwealth Games, and on debut, she has achieved what everyone else dreams of - a Gold medal that she’ll remember for years to come.
