England beating Pakistan in the 1st Test hasn't just done their reputation a world of good but the Three Lions have done a huge favour for Team India, as far as the World Test Championship is concerned.

Loss in the Rawalpindi Test meant that Pakistan remained at the 5th spot on the WTC points table, 1 spot below India.

Rohit Sharma's men now have a very strong chance of making it to the WTC final once again. If Team India beat Bangladesh 2-0 in the upcoming Test series and don't lose more than 1 Test in the 4-match home series vs Australia, they can finish the current WTC cycle among the top two sides.

However, Babar Azam's men still have an opportunity to make a comeback as they are left with 2 more Tests in the series vs England.
