The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed on Wednesday that the World Test Championship final for the current cycle will be held at The Oval. The event was earlier expected to be hosted at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

However, the home of cricket Lord's has been awarded the hosting rights for the WTC final for the 2025 cycle. The exact dates of either of the matches have not been announced yet

In the current cycle, Australia lead the table with 84 points followed by South Africa and Sri Lanka. India is currently at the 4th spot with 75 points.

The first-ever WTC final was also moved from Lord's to Southampton due to Covid-19 protocols. New Zealand beat India in that match.
