Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant, who has been on the path to recovery since his car accident in December last year, provided an update on his rehabilitation journey through a video shared on X. The footage showcased Pant engaging in various weightlifting exercises, displaying determination and resilience as he aims to rejoin his IPL franchise, Delhi Capitals, and the Indian squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Titled "Bouncing back with every rep," the video captures Pant's commitment to regaining full fitness. The hourglass emoji emphasized the ongoing progression of his recovery.
Delhi Capitals took a decisive step in retaining Pant for the upcoming IPL season, demonstrating confidence in his swift recovery and readiness to lead the team. The announcement followed confirmation from Sourav Ganguly, the Director of Cricket for Delhi Capitals, in early November. Ganguly affirmed Pant's participation in the league, providing assurance about his recovery.
“He’s (Pant) good now. He will play in the IPL next season,” stated Ganguly during an interaction with PTI, underscoring Pant's positive trajectory toward a successful comeback.
