Australia continued their unbeaten run in the ICC Women's ODI World Cup as they defeated West Indies by seven wickets at Basin Reserve in Wellington on Tuesday.
After opting to bat first, West Indies failed to get their innings going upfront as they lost three quick wickets. Captain Stefanie Taylor scored a patient fifty but failed to get any support from the other end as West Indies were bundled out for 131.
Chasing an easy target, Australia lost Alyssa Healy and Meg Lanning early but Rachael Haynes' 83 helped Australia chase down the target inside 31 Overs.
This was West Indies' second back-to-back defeat in the Women's World Cup. They were thrashed by India in their previous match.
