Former Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner who lead his team to the only IPL title win in 2016 revealed what hurt him the most after he was sacked as the captain after leading the team in a few games in the first leg of the last year's cash-rich league.

In a chat with Boria Mazumdar, Warner said if you are going to drop a captain and not pick him in the team what message does that send to the young kids in the team.

All these young players thinking about the fear of 'this could happen to me', hurt the Australian cricketer the most.

'If you want to have those conversations, just have them, I am not going to bite you', he added.

The 35-year-old gave a below-par performance in the 2021 IPL season due to which he was also dropped from his team towards the end of the last IPL season. Ahead of next year's mega auctions, the team management released him as well.

However, post-IPL, Warner returned to his form during the T20 World Cup and went on to win the Player of the Tournament award.
