Virat Kohli breaks his silence, says winning Asia Cup and World Cup his priority

Although Virat Kohli is struggling on the crease, India's ex-captain's intent remains clear. While speaking to Star Sports, Kohli, who hasn't scored an international ton since November 2019, said that he has set his mind on the upcoming Asia Cup. 

Kohli said that his main aim is to win Asia Cup and the World Cup and for that "he is ready to do anything". 

Amid a slump in his form, Kohli has been rested for the ongoing series against West Indies. He will likely make a return to the team for the 3-match ODI series in Zimbabwe which begins on the 18th of August.

During the recently concluded England tour, the 33-year-old out-of-form batter scored only 76 runs in 6 innings which include 2 ODIS, 2 T20Is and a Test.

The defending champions, India will begin their quest for the Asia Cup starting August 27th in UAE.
