Sunrisers Hyderabad and Maharashtra batter Rahul Tripathi got rewarded for his performance in IPL through the years as he got his maiden India call-up for the upcoming two-match T20I series against Ireland. Hardik Pandya will lead the team while Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be his deputy.

The 31-year-old batter has been performing well in the past few IPL seasons and is one of the most impressive uncapped players. Tripathi scored 413 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2022 with a strike rate of 158.23.

Talking about his India call-up, Tripathi said that he is very happy that the selectors believed in him. Apart from SRH's batter, Rajasthan Royals' Sanju Samson has also been included in the squad for the Irish tour.

The two T20Is between India and Ireland are scheduled to be played on June 26th and 28th.
