Team India's Strength and Conditioning coach Soham Desai feels that the team is often "rushed" into major tournaments and that the ongoing preparatory camp in Perth will help the players immensely in terms of unwinding and getting used to the Australian conditions.

"The upcoming 8-10 days are very crucial for us leading into the World Cup and I can't thank the management and BCCI enough to get these 8 days because we always feel we are rushed into the big tournaments playing so much cricket as Indian team" said Desai in an interview to BCCI

The Men in Blue had their first training session in Australia on Friday and will be playing an additional two practice games on October 10 and 13 after which they will be heading to Brisbane to play their other set of warm-up matches that ICC had scheduled for them.

India will be locking horns with arch-rivals Pakistan in their T20 World Cup opener in Melbourne on October 23.
