Sourav Ganguly responds to Virat Kohli's decision to step down from Test captaincy

After Virat Kohli relinquished the Test captaincy duties, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly responded to the latest development and termed Kohli's decision as a personal one & the one which the board respects immensely.

In a tweet, Ganguly praised Kohli and said that the Indian cricket team made rapid strides under the leadership of Virat.


The BCCI president extended his wishes to the Delhi cricketer and added that Kohli will remain an important part of the Indian Team.


Earlier, the 33-year-old Indian batter shocked the cricketing world by stepping down from India's Test captaincy on Saturday evening, a day after India failed to win their elusive Test series in South Africa.
