Shreyas Iyer undergoes successful back surgery

Indian batter Shreyas IIyer who had a recurring back lower issue has undergone a successful surgery in London, as per a Times of India report. 

KKR's Iyer will now miss the entire IPL 2023 season and the coming up World Test Championship final which is scheduled to take place in June, a source told TOI.

The source further informed that the batter is expected to remain on the sidelines for the coming 3 months. The 28-year-old is, however, expected to return in time for this year's ODI World Cup which is being held in India starting 20th October, the source added.
