Sachin Tendulkar on Monday raised his concern regarding a video going viral on social media. In the video, the Master Blaster is portrayed as promoting a gaming app, asking people to play and earn money.

However, Sachin called the video fake. Sharing the fake video on social media, he wrote, 'It is disturbing to see rampant misuse of technology. Request everyone to report videos, ads & apps like these in large numbers. Social Media platforms need to be alert and responsive to complaints. Swift action from their end is crucial to stopping the spread of misinformation and deepfakes.'

Several renowned personalities including Rashmika Mandanna and Alia Bhatt have been victims of deepfake in the past. But Sachin's fake video of illegally promoting an app raises serious concerns.
