England's premier fast bowler Jofra Archer marked his return to competitive cricket with figures of 3/27 in the opening match of SA20 competition.

Playing for MI Cape Town, Archer bagged the wickets of Wihan Lubbe, David Miller & Ferisco Adams to restrict Paarl Royals to a below-par 142. Dewald Brevis' 70* in response ensured his side cruised to an 8-wicket victory with 27 balls to spare.

Archer, who hadn't played a competitive match since July 2021 due to elbow and back injuries, also clocked speeds in excess of 145 kph during his spell.
